Welcome to Central Virginia Wind Energy & Manufacturing

Central Virginia Wind Energy & Manufacturing is a collaboration, working hand in hand with:

  • Renewable Assets LLC
  • Dominion Renewable Energy LLC
  • The University of Virginia’s ROMAC Laboratory Industrial Program
  • Chesapeake Crescent

We focus on current and emerging technologies related to renewable energy and, more importantly, the proper application and deployment to ensure success.

The business focuses on emerging design developments within wind and is actively developing, constructing, and manufacturing wind power generation equipment, for use throughout the United States in 2010-11.  By 2012 we plan to develop international markets for the product line.
We operate the business in both a “traditional and nontraditional” wind farm energy generation setting.

  • First, we seek to reinvest in rural America and advocate Virginia’s workforce capabilities, local suppliers of components and the assembly of such technology.
  • Second, we continually seek out newly developed “emerging” technologies and selectively support worthy designs with technical and financial resources, acting as both consultants and developers in some cases.
  • Third, we endeavor to work with domestic and forward military installations, Federal and State installations, diesel powered islands and remote villages, cell phone towers, first responder communication hubs, significant electric consuming agribusiness, and railroad properties to identify alternative energy options to include Greenfield and Brownfield opportunities. We collaborate to find the core essentials of each application and we support parties who have: “Wind, Want and Wire”.
  • Fourth, we work in a collaborative manner on all fronts including assessing impacts to the biological, historical and general esthetic nature of the proposed installation site, while maintaining an open-door policy on all aspects that affect our future and our energy independence.
  • Finally, we work willingly with U.S. agencies such as DoE and NREL. to share our technology finding, and to assist in any way possible with technology transfer and dissemination as advances are made.
